LOW TIDE

low-tide

Low Tide — The Keller Edition is a modern psychological tragedy set in a decaying Provincetown mansion where the blind art appraiser Kellyn Keller sits confined to her chair, facing the ocean and the stench of low tide. Each visitor ascends the stairs, announced by the distinct sound of their footsteps, to confront her in private—her sister Mildred, her servant Charles, her alcoholic husband Dan, her landlord Kobe, and finally the FBI. Through these one-on-one encounters, it’s revealed that Kellyn has promised her late mother’s priceless triptych to each of them, using false bequests to keep them loyal. A study of blindness, deceit, and the corrosive inheritance of a family cursed by art and ambition.
